What is Kochi Beat?

Kochi is a great place, and we’ll assume that you’ve found us because you are living here, or you are looking around for things to do in Japan.  While it is an amazing prefecture, it has an equally amazing lack of English.  We don’t think this is a bad thing at all, and in fact, that is why many people choose to come here.  It can, however, make starting life here rather difficult.

That brings us to why we decided to start this guide.  We hope it becomes a resource that helps people to find the things that interest them early on in their time here without letting the language act as a barrier.

Our Mission

We’d like to introduce everything going on in Kochi, with a focus on art, music, events, and food, but you can see the current topics we are building up in the navigation bar.  There is a lot of ground to cover, though, so we need your help!
